Make sure your crew builds with the right numbers.

Capture, calculate and share one set of numbers for the entire crew to use.

TapeLine is a construction calculator that keeps each number with the job it belongs to: what it is, where it came from, and the photo that shows it.

Open TapeLine Free to use. Runs in your phone's browser.
A TapeLine tape named Kitchen window: RO width 36 1/2 inches is open, showing a photo of the framed opening with the dimension drawn jamb to jamb, above RO height, Header length and a Sill height still to measure.

How it works

The number, what it is, and where it came from.

The math is only one check. Before someone builds with a number, they need to know what it describes and whether it is still right.

Every number gets a name, a picture and a value.

Fill them in whatever order the job hands them to you. Say the number and what it is in one breath. Name it before anyone has measured it. Mark the two ends on a photo and the dimension lands on the tape.

17 solvers, and a picture of the cut.

Stairs, rafters, rake walls, compound miters, balusters, block walls, footings and more, for framing, site work, geometry and materials. Most draw the piece with its dimensions on it, so whoever cuts it sees exactly what the number is.

Share it like a doc. Talk it through like a group chat.

Invite the crew by email or send a link. Every number keeps its own thread of photos, voice notes and replies, and you can ask someone to verify it, approve it, or get it done.

On the job

Saved by job, and there when you're back.

Every tape is kept with its project and synced to your account. It works without service and catches up when you have it again.

Ask someone to check a measurement or approve a number before it gets cut, right on the tape it belongs to.

Who it's for

For the person responsible for what gets built.

The lead framer, the grader, the general contractor running a small crew: whoever has to answer for the number when the piece doesn't fit.

Build with the right numbers.
